Are these Claude skills or just prompt templates?

They are Claude skills, not static prompts. A skill is a bundled program — instructions, examples and a workflow — that Claude runs as a unit: it asks for the right input, applies the same pattern every time and returns structured output. A prompt template runs a single pass and does not.

How do I use a skill I bought?

You get a .skill file. Add it to your Claude app (Pro, Team or Enterprise) — about 10 seconds — then invoke the skill and give it your material. It runs the workflow and returns the outputs.
